Amy Young is a native of West Palm Beach, Florida, and has been living on Nantucket year-round for over a decade. On her first visit to Nantucket in 2009, she was immediately drawn to the natural beauty of the island and the historic vibe of downtown. Amy was easily able to find a home in the thriving Nantucket restaurant community with her strong background in hospitality management. In the spring of 2009, Amy successfully opened and operated her own restaurant, The Beet, for five years. Most recently, Amy decided to use her knowledge and experience in the hospitality business in a new career working with Development and Events at the Maria Mitchell Association.

Amy joined the MMA in June of 2024, and is excited to be a part of the team ensuring the New Discovery Center and Aquarium comes to life.
