Ginger Andrews learned bird lore from her mother Edith, a Cornell-trained ornithologist. Growing up with birds, both dead (Museum specimens salvaged from window strikes were often prepared on the kitchen table) and alive (a local veterinarian found our family a rehab resource) she brings a unique perspective to birding in the field. “Barn Owls were my siblings”, she jokes.
